The 5 Second Commute

Bonnie Ross-Parker, Founder and CEO of The Joy of Connecting, and Karen H. Baxter, Founder of www.the5secondcommute.com and J. Symone Marketing, are Co-Editors for a new book in the popular "42 Rules" book series.

We are looking for women that want to expand their business by becoming published contributors to our book. As a contributor you will have 2 pages in the book. One for your bio and one for your "rule" about effective connections.

This is a great opportunity to add an accomplishment to your biography and it will be a great experience.

If you are interested please let us know by leaving a comment below with the following information:

Your Name
Your preliminary "Rule"
Email

If you know any other professional women that would like to participate in this project, please refer her to the site.

Thank you for your participation and we look forward to working with you in the future.

A note from Bonnie Ross-Parker...

"I'm thrilled that Karen and I are offering participants in our respective organizations the opportunity to be in print, have their 'story' published, your picture and bio featured as well as to share in the excitement of this project! I am a contributing writer to one of the 42 Rule series: 42 Rules for Driving Success with Books and I can tell you, seeing one's story and picture/bio in print is definitely cool. Think about connections you've made in your life - one that had a large impact on you - and consider the 'story' behind the connection that made it 'effective', 'memorable' or 'lasting'. We're looking for content and emotion - a story idea that will impact our readers. I'm going to contribute Rule #1 - Make Every Connection Count (because you never know!) Get in touch w/Karen with your specific idea. She will share all details on how to prepare and submit your story. We anticipate a huge response and 40 selections will be decided based on clarity, uniqueneness, sincerity and impact. Karen and I will each have a rule - so we have 40 opportunities! Want one? Think about the story/lesson and share a one liner with Karen. See you in print late Spring. Be excited! You'll get to brag about appearing as a contributing writer! (2 pages - 800 words + Picture/Bio) Don't wait. Don't hesitate. Do it! Bonnie Ross-Parker/CEO/Founder of The Joy of Connecting."

Well, I asked a week or so, but will ask again..............How is this book publishing going so far? I have not heard back from either of you, Karen or Bonnie.....and nothing published out here yet either. Sounds like we have a lot of GREAT responses on this group, but not hearing if anything is cooking on the book, or not??!!??

Listen to whom you are speaking - find a commonality, Learn as much as you can about them - be genuine, Layer your new contact - it's a process.

(It's better to make three new friends at a networking event than to give out endless business cards with zero results.
