It's been said "everyone has a book inside them." In the case of Mimi Long, if it were about her life, she'd have a trilogy or more with an ornate cover at the front, just begging you to open it up and peer inside.

Having packed more into any one decade than most do into a lifetime, her story began in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Raised between the coastal mangrove swamps and the bright lights of New York's Broadway, Mimi learned to appreciate a wide variety of people at a very young age. From Myrna Loy, Gary Cooper, Charles Lindberg and other stars, to the working naturalists and fishing clan in her home town, she always had shining examples of love and light in her life, with diversity at the core.

At an early age, Mimi learned laughter was the best medicine. "I was less than 10 when I took my slip off on the school bus without taking my dress off. It was a bet I couldn't refuse. My own sister turned me in to the student council... It was hilarious," she recounts. She attributes her love of people, laughter and nature to her father and her ability to act with sophistication, class and aplomb to her mother.

Acquiring a pilot's license at 16, she has always had a flair for the air, and even named her daughter, Chandelle, after a flying maneuver. She's even followed the example she learned with Air France when the plane she was on broke the sound barrier in 1977, these days catapulting past the speed of sound to reach the top of each field she's been in, and often bringing others along for the ride.

Mimi now lives in Atlanta, is married to Crawford Long (the great nephew of the founder of Crawford Long Hospital) and is starting her next big thing, Pinc Bubble. She has an amazing family track record of achievement. This coupled with her ability to make a success of everything she comes in contact with: be it a Mary Kay Sales Director or jewelry creation, painting or forays into web design, marketing and strategy, or being a grandma 3 times over, make her next triumph seem imminent.

What Has Mimi Done?

With a background of more than 20 years working with huge companies in market research, her corporate career spanned the verticals of insulation, glass and ceramics to solar collector technology. She worked with leaders in the field such as John E Gray and Hilliard W. Paige, who brought the first commercial jet engine business to General Electric. She has been there, done that, when it comes to success in that world.

To do 20+ years of research, it is of benefit that she is naturally inquisitive - often leading with the question "How may I help you today?" Most recently she has answered that question for women with cancer and other chronic illnesses, in starting Pinc Bubble, the free makeover service that helps women challenged by chemo to look good on the outside and feel better on the inside. She also helps women achieve success within a 2.5 billion dollar industry, leading by example, through love and with a lot of fun at the core.

Anyone who has met Mimi likely won't be surprised to find her doing something so philanthropic. It is a natural extension of a woman who as comfortable Tarpon fishing on a moonlit night in Boca Grande Pass, as she is holding court with debutantes at a fund raiser for Pinc Bubble.
